Inauguration tickets in high demand

The office of Sen. Jim Webb (D-Virginia) says it has already received about 15,000 requests from Virginians seeking tickets to President-elect Barack Obama's swearing-in on Jan. 20. Based on past years, the office will probably receive only about 500 tickets to distribute.

However, the office is still adding names to its waiting list. E-mail webb@webb.senate.va.gov to add your name to the list.

The inaugural parade is open to anyone who can find a spot along the parade route, but tickets are needed to view the swearing-in and to attend inaugural balls.
