Community Prayer Groups Begin in Purcellville, Ashburn and Leesburg

Community Prayer Groups begin in Purcellville, Ashburn and Leesburg

Intercessors for America and Breakthrough Prayer ministries participate

Bringing unity to our communities through the power of prayer and blessing

You are invited to join local pastors and marketplace leaders in praying for the Town of Purcellville.  The prayer gatherings shall take place every Tuesday morning from 8:00 AM until 9:00 AM at the Train Station in Purcellville to pray for elected leaders, public safety personnel, pastors, youth and schools, troubled marriages, crime, and other areas as the Spirit leads.

The Church Transformations’ vision is to establish an influential and united partnership in Purcellville between marketplace leaders and pulpit ministers where the central focus is prayer. The objective is to promote change for the spiritual climate through prayer and fasting, and transforming Purcellville with practical demonstrations of love and acts of compassion.

This is a non-denominational gathering with the only purpose to pray for the needs of our local community and seek the Lord’s blessings for Purcellville.  While prayer for immediate and specific personal needs will not be denied, the focus of this weekly prayer gathering is for the community.

According to Jack Stagman, “the Purcellville Transformation definition of market place leaders/ ministers is believers who are leaders in business, government, education, media and the arts who share our vision and mission. These market place leaders (ministers) function as equal partners together with pulpit ministers, working together as one, with a passion to transform and impact society through their spheres of influence.”

Mr. Stagman states, “We want to report back that we had an awesome prayer gathering on September 16 at the first Purcellville Railway Station meeting.  By opening the Purcellville Prayer Group gathering from only pastors attending to including marketplace leaders, the prayer meeting increased from 4 to 16 people.  We had six pastors attending. The presence of God was very tangible and we are excited and believe the spiritual climate of Purcellville is changing.  We were also blessed to have leadership of the largest two national prayer groups attending; Intercessors for America and Breakthrough Prayer ministries.  As many as eight churches were represented.

Purcellville Transformation

Many Pastors are beginning to see themselves as elders of Purcellville and their vision is to shepherd the community, each church working together in partnership with other churches to shepherd the entire town.  The reason for the increase in numbers is the inclusion of the market place leaders as equal partners in this unique effort for prayer together i.e., praying for our community.”

This writer believes these gatherings will duplicate what was said of the early Church in Acts 4:32: “Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul.”

An Ashburn weekly transformation prayer group has begun in Ashburn under the leadership of Pastors Clancy Nixon and Jeff Jacob meeting at the offices of the new Good Shepherd Alliance Center of Hope facility at noon every Thursday for one hour.  Please telephone Pastor Jeff Jacob at 571-223-2963 or email at hearts4harvest@aol.com.

The Leesburg Prayer Group shall begin as soon as a neutral venue is identified.
