The National Community Reinvestment Coalition will address the escalating housing crisis in the local community at the Save the Block Party! Saturday, Sept. 20 from 10a.m.-6p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center.

The free, day-long community empowerment festival will have free food, live entertainment and games. Homeowners facing hardships will have an opportunity for counseling with HUD-certified counselors.

The point is to educate homeowners under foreclosure about steps to take to not lose their hourses.

Homeowners facing foreclosure will have the opportunity to discuss their options with mortgage counselors, lawyers and bankers.

NCRC is a nonprofit that promotes access to basic banking services, including credit and savings, to create and sustain affordable housing.
